National Poetry
The Spartonian people have a deep love of the arts and culture in general, but especially, for poetry. Poetry holds a special place in the hearts of all Spartonians because it has played such a critical role in the development of the country coming out of the great oral tradition of the original tribes and developing into a highly sophisticated written art form. Below are poems by the National Poet and Diplomat J. Additionally, enjoy the traditional Spartonian music playing in the background.
History of the Future
People born of the Vastlands
Fiercely independent, rugged and free.
Spartonians shall always be.
Proud of our Motherland.
Dave our leader who guides our hand.
Spartonians are no more a rugged band.
From the shoreline to the Vastlands,
From Pyrote to Holy Zott,
Spartonians toil and plot.
A future yet awaits us,
Struggle though we must,
Spartonia will triumph.
Fear
Why are we feared from here and near
Being peered at through fences
And diplomatic defenses so dear?
What compels our neighbors to prejudge
To misjudge and completely ignore
That Spartonians are peace loving,
Friendly and amicable to the core?
We reach out to all with the zeal of
The Internationale!
For we believe in the principles of
Slaves no longer in thrall
And justice reigning down like a water fall.
May all drink as the Great Spartonians have
And may all see what great opportunities
Of unity are to be had.
No longer feared but admired,
Inspiring,
Aspiring to cooperation,
The earth shall truly rise on a New Foundation!
